The Goal of Winning for the Freedom Fighter

What does winning look like?

In a world of propaganda, the aggressive cultist agendas of death, greed, and dominion that has evil and the adversary at it’s very core, it can be hard to know what the final goal for the freedom fighter is.

I admire the strength and heart of the freedom fighter. Many have lost so much, even life itself. However, one has to ask, what are we fighting for. Maybe a common answer could be condensed to freedom from oppression, individual freedom and liberty.

These are noble goals, but in the end are a mirage. They don’t exist, at least to our common understanding of these things. If ever one was to achieve it, they would simply pass from one gehenna to another.

It was once expressed to be that one idea in Jewish thought was that ‘Hell was a place with no boundaries’.

Boundaries are integral to Elohim’s interaction with mankind. The land of Israel has boundaries given by יהוה himself. One was never to move a boundary stone. The Torah given by יהוה at Mt Sinai was to serve as boundaries for the people.

In the modern world, we get to work by car or public transport because of boundaries. Without them there would be chaos.

While it stands in seeming contradiction, to be truly free, one must live with boundaries. The question is however, Who sets those boundaries? The individualistic will say “Me”. The Tyrant will say “Me”, the Fool says no-one, let’s live without boundaries. There is another answer, and that is the Creator should set the boundaries. Indeed, He already has.

And no, I’m not talking about religion. The Christian Church is as bad or worse than the religious leaders of Yeshua’s day. The Oral Torah in Judaism is no better. The ravings of mad men, whether from modern day cults or ancient superstitious beliefs, none offer any hope that is true.

So, what does freedom actually look like? What should we be aiming for? You know, the big picture. If we are to win the war against evil, corruption, lies and deceit what would it actually look like?

Well, in my reading of the scriptures, I read again Isaiah 32. Here was the answer to a question I’d not yet been able to articulate. If we could win, what would winning look like?

Yeshayah (Isaiah) 32

1 See, a sovereign shall reign in righteousness, and rulers rule in right-ruling.

2 And each one shall be as a hiding place from the wind, and a shelter from the downpour, as rivers of water in a dry place, as the shadow of a great rock in a weary land.

3 And the eyes of those who see are not dim, and the ears of those who hear listen.

4 And the heart of the rash understand knowledge, and the tongue of the stammerers hurries to speak plainly.

5 A fool is no longer called noble, nor the scoundrel said to be respectable;

6 for a fool speaks folly, and his heart works wickedness: to practise filthiness, and to speak against יהוה that which misleads, to starve the being of the hungry, and to withhold the drink from the thirsty.

7 And the methods of the scoundrel are evil – he has devised wicked plans to destroy the poor with words of falsehood, even when the needy pleads for right-ruling.

8 But the generous one devises what is generous, and by generous deeds he rises up.

9 Rise up, you women who are at ease, hear my voice; rise up you complacent daughters, listen to my speech.

10 In little more than a year you shall be troubled, you complacent women; for the grape harvest shall fail, the ingathering shall not come.

11 Tremble, you women who are at ease; be troubled, you complacent ones; strip yourselves, make yourselves bare, and gird sackcloth on your waists.

12 Lament upon the breasts for the pleasant fields, for the fruit-bearing vine.

13 Weeds and thornbushes come up over the ground of My people, indeed, over all the houses of joy, the city of revelry;

14f or the palace is abandoned, the crowded city deserted. Hill and watchtower serve as caves forever, a joy of wild donkeys, a pasture of flocks;

15 until the Spirit is poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness shall become garden-land, and the garden-land be reckoned as a forest.

16 Then right-ruling shall dwell in the wilderness, and righteousness remain in the garden-land.

17 The work of righteousness shall be peace, and the service of righteousness be rest and safety forever.

18 And My people shall dwell in a home of peace, and in safe dwellings, and in undisturbed resting places,

19 even when hail shall fall, felling the forest, and the city be brought low in humiliation.

20 Blessed are you who sow beside all waters, who send out the foot of the ox and the donkey.

If you have any exposure the the set apart Scriptures, have ever heard the teaching of Yeshua (Jesus), you will have heard the term Kingdom.

In a Kingdom,

  • There is a King.

  • Willing subjects

  • Boundaries set by the King

A day is coming when Yeshua, one found worthy to take back earth’s title through the conquering of death, will return and establish His kingdom on earth.

Not all will welcome Him. I can see church councils meeting to discuss whether their church will be part of the Kingdom. Nations will conspire together to try an negotiate a political agreement. All the little demigods who suddenly realise they have lost their power and living will go running and scampering into the darkness. Many will simply reject Him outright, even to His very face.

The true freedom fighter, the faithful, the one who endures will fall at His feet in Worship because they know true freedom is about to be realised. They will joyfully be part of the Kingdom of Elohim. They will know that the sovereign is wise, just and compassionate. Those He appoints as rulers and judges throughout the earth will no longer be corrupt, greedy and evil at heart. They know that “My people shall dwell in a home of peace, and in safe dwellings, and in undisturbed resting places,”

While we fight, and we must fight, we also need to pray. We need to pray not only for Isaiah 32 to become a reality overall, but that in the mean time, that right ruling leaders will be raised up by יהוה.

At the time of writing ‘Trump’ endorsed candidates are wiping the floor in elections in the USA. We should be praying for יהוה endorsed leaders for our own communities, territories and country. We know from this passage in Isaiah that this kind of prayer is inline with the Fathers heart.

And as always, cry out Come Yeshua Come!

As a closing statement, I remind my friends in the west that God’s boundaries are not heavy to bear. In actual fact, the Torah, the rules for the Kingdom and the best way to live now, gives a tremendous amount of personal liberty. It is mankind that has taken something good and made it a heavy burden.

I leave you with the words of Yeshua himself. Mattithyahu (Matthew) 11:25-30

At that time יהושע responding, said, “I thank You, Father, Master of the heavens and earth, because You have hidden these matters from clever and learned ones and have revealed them to babes. “Yes, Father, because so it was well-pleasing in Your sight. “All have been handed over to Me by My Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father. Nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and he to whom the Son wishes to reveal Him. “Come to Me, all you who labour and are burdened, and I shall give you rest. “Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am meek and humble in heart, and you shall find rest for your beings “For My yoke is gentle and My burden is light.”

To understand Yeshua’s meaning, the Yoke is the ‘rules for living’ put simply. He adds context later in Matthew 23:

Then יהושע spoke to the crowds and to His taught ones, saying, “The scribes and the Pharisees sit on the seat of Mosheh. Therefore, whatever they say to you to guard, guard and do (in other words obey the written Torah of Moses). But do not do according to their works, for they say, and do not do. “For they bind heavy burdens, hard to bear, and lay them on men’s shoulders, but with their finger they do not wish to move them.

But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you shut up the reign of the heavens before men, for you do not go in, nor do you allow those who are entering to go in.

Ponder the Prize and Fight to good Fight!

Amen!
