Yehovah, the Creator of Time

The Importance of Time in our World

I have a love / hate relationship with time. I hate it because, for everything good, as every second passes, I've lost something I can never get back, I'm only left with memories, photographs, stories, however, the actual living moment is lost to time, hence "Live in the moment". I love it because bad things always come to an end due to time. "This too shall pass"

Whatever we think about time, it is a constant in our current reality and our opinion about it doesn't matter at all. What is important is that Yehovah has an opinion about it. It was He who created it and gave instructions regarding it. An element of time was the very first thing that He set apart. (made Holy). When you consider that set-apartness is at least in my view, THE defining attribute about the God of Israel, the fact that he chose time as the very first thing that he made like him in terms of attribute, makes it to my mind something vitally important.

Yet, all but the most dedicated disciples of Yehovah not only pay it little regard, Yehovah's view in time is totally ignored. Did you know that ...

  1. God has an accurate working calendar still in-force today?

  2. The Feasts of Yehovah are divine appointments to which Yehovah's disciples are supposed to turn up for?

  3. Yeshua's Ministry on earth was just 70 weeks?

I'm only scratching the surface here!

In An Abridgment of the Christian Doctrine,

Q. How prove you that the church hath power to command feasts and holy days?
A. By the very act of changing the Sabbath into Sunday, which Protestants allow of; and therefore they fondly contradict themselves, by keeping Sunday strictly, and breaking most other feasts commanded by the same church.

Q. How prove you that?
A. Because by keeping Sunday, they acknowledge the church’s power to ordain feasts, and to command them under sin; and by not keeping the rest [of the feasts] by her commanded, they again deny, in fact, the same power.
–Rev. Henry Tuberville, D.D. (R.C.), (1833), page 58.

Yehovah uses His calendar when interacting with mankind. He has done so in the past and will do so again in the future. The problem is, either we don't know about it, or we have been sold a lie. Sure, it's only been in the last 30 years that God's original calendar has and could be reestablished. However, the Christian Church has discarded God's calendar and divine appointments and replaced them with their own. In order to fit man made theology, our Master Yeshua's minstry on earth has been mangled in terms of time, the motive of which is from the pit of hell.

Let's start at the beginning and create an outline for study. There are a number of excellent ministries who do some in-depth teaching on various aspects of this subject and you will find these links in this blog post.

Genesis
  • Markers of Time were created

  • The seventh day was set apart by Yehovah

Creation

The appointed Times are listed in Leviticus

Mosaic Covenant

Note: These are the appointed times of Yehovah given to Israel. They are Not Israel's feasts. They are Yehovah's.

The Events in Yeshua's ministry on earth happeded in accordance with Yehovah's timetable exactly!

Yeshua's Ministry

Note: The Church insists that Yeshua's Ministry was 3 years,

As is the case with all past events involving the God of Israel, it is His calendar that is used and we can have every confidence that as Yehovah does not change, all future events will be linked directly to His Timetable.

We know for example that the coming of Yeshua will occur during the long day at the beginning of the Feast of Trumpets. We don't know the exact year, day, nor hour and this is the very point. It is this one long day in the year when no-one knows the day nor the hour. When Yeshua proclaimed Matthew 24:3“But concerning that day and the hour no one knows, not even the messengers of the heavens, but My Father only...."

He was telling us according to His Calendar the season of His coming. The surrounding verses all speak in the context of seasons.

Messiah's Return

We need to put away man's ideas of time and start to look for and take note of our God's use of Time.

From the Sabbath, to divine appointments, to the Final days, all have been described by God in His word. It is essential to our understanding that we gain our understanding of Yehovah in the contact of the Time parameters HE has set.

Make the decision today to put aside man's idea of time and start studying with a new perspective. A Place to start is here

So, who has the right regarding time?

Yehovah or man?
